Rah Rah went with us to your one- year pediatrician appointment this morning- bright and early at 8:10! Dr. Cooley said you are looking great! Petite, but healthy!

You had to get 3 shots (Hep A, MMR, and Varicella) and you had to get your finger pricked to check the lead and iron levels in your blood. The nurse had to prick 2 fingers on your left hand and she was hoping it would be enough blood for the tests. I held you in my lap while Rah Rah read you books and let you play a game on her phone.

We were literally headed out the doors of the office and got called back to the exam room because they were running the CBC test at the office and Dr. Cooley just wanted to make sure your iron levels were okay before we left in case she needed to prescribe something. The nurse came back into the room and said she hadn't collected enough blood from the first two finger sticks. So she pricked your thumb on your right hand and blood just poured right out and she quickly got enough blood for both tests! Your iron levels are good and they send the blood for the lead somewhere else, so we won't hear about that for a while.
