Random Christmas pictures

Happy (almost) 2016!

Today was a fun last day on Signal Mountain! We played at Rah Rah's house and Nana's house.
I can't believe tomorrow is a new year! It will be a year with lots of changes and decisions.
We can't wait!

forward facing

Today your Daddy turned your carseat forward facing! You keep calling it your "new carseat!"
I think you like it!
(please ignore the unsafe plastic bag that you insisted on carrying in the car)

Playdate with friends

This morning we were able to meet up with some of our friends!
Rah Rah scheduled some time for us at the gym at Signal Crest. It was perfect! No one had to cook or clean and you and Ellis Barker could run around and not get into [too much] trouble! You and Ellis enjoyed playing with the kitchen and jumping and sliding on the inflatable bouncy house.
Sam and Vanessa Guin, Tammie and Ellis Barker (John had to work), Cara Emrath, you with Mommy and Daddy, Sarah and Matt Wildman. Unfortunately Sarah Lawhorn and her kiddos weren't able to come because Grace got sick last night!
It was fun to sit and catch up with these old friends for a couple of hours!

Rah Rah's birthday

Today is Rah Rah's birthday! Happy birthday, Rah Rah!
Our first stop of the day was at the Signal Mountain Christmas Train. Rah Rah has been talking about you coming to Signal Mountain and play on the train since the Christmas you were born! And today the weather finally cooperated, so we could get outside!
After the train, we (you, your Daddy, and I) went to see Ramsey and his parents at Ramsey's Pops' house! Aunt Jennifer and I exchanged Christmas ornaments (along with Caroline) for our entire childhoods (our brothers also exchanged ornaments). We decided this year we could start an annual ornament exchange with you and Ramsey!
You gave Ramsey a stuffed reindeer ornament and he gave you a red ball that we painted both of your (yours and Ramsey's) handprints on! It is such a keepsake treasure!
I hope that we can continue this tradition for years to come, even if we live in different cities!
For her birthday dinner, Rah Rah wanted to go to Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse (which incidentally is where your Daddy and I ate on our first date)
You loved the show that our chef put on while he was cooking our food!
You especially liked the flaming volcano and when he made the volcano move around like a choo choo train- you kept saying "choo choo" and making the train hand motion after that!
We all had a great night celebrating Rah Rah!! We love you!

7 years

It surely doesn't seem like seven years have gone by since your Daddy and I said "I do" on our wedding day! Let's just take a quick look back:
And today we have a spunky 2 year and a little sister on the way (18.5 weeks pregnant)!
God has been so good to us these past seven years! I hope we have 70 more together!

Day after Christmas celebrations

Last night we spent the night at Nana and Pops' house. We were able to celebrate Christmas with them, Aunt Brittany, and Aunt Beth this morning.
You passed out the presents again (but got tired after only a couple and ended up pushing the gifts around in a baby doll carriage). You got a lot of wonderful things: a broom, vacuum cleaner, new doll with some accessories, a baby doll high chair, a magnetic fishing game, a Sophia Grace and Rosie book, a new outfit (thus the shirt change half way through the morning), and a blow up Frozen ball tent!
Mommy and Daddy got some great gifts too!
Uncle Brad had to leave this afternoon to go to Nashville. He's flying out to California tomorrow to work a New Year's Eve show. While you took your nap, Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Brad, Rah Rah, and Papa Dave played your Daddy's new national park Yahtzee game.
You probably think that you'll be opening gifts every day after all the festivities of the past few days (and weeks, really, with your birthday a couple of weeks ago)!
