Happy New Year's Eve!

Today was the last day of 2014. I can't believe it!
2014 was a great year full of changes.

Tonight we had the Jacksons over for dinner. Carolyn's mom (Tutu) and sister Catherine are in town, so they came too!
Clifton: "Girl, can you even believe that 2015 is tomorrow?!"
Tutu monogrammed you and Clifton some Christmas PJs and we wanted to get some pictures of you guys in front of the Christmas tree.
y'all are adorable
We had taco soup for dinner. Clifton had a head band that matches yours, but he wasn't into it.
At 8 PM we watched a Netflix special countdown featuring a character from the movie Madagascar. It lasted 3 min. and included a bunch of dancing and fun music and ended with a little NYE countdown.
You and Clifton had a great time playing with all your new toys, especially your kitchen and your ladybug tunnel.
Happy 2015!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, sweet girl!
Santa came last night and brought you all kinds of fun things! Ho Ho Ho
A couple of big ticket items included a trike, Violet doll, and a few stocking stuffers like cute bowls, Peekaboo Snowman book, and a horn for your trike! Looks like he enjoyed the cookies we made!
Mommy and Daddy got you some hooded towels, a See N Say, and a set of foam alphabet and number tiles!
We are glad Uncle Brad was here to celebrate with us!
Your Daddy did have to go into the hospital, but he was home quickly and we ate lunch around 1:30. I made a roast in the crock pot.
After lunch we took your trike for its inaugural spin around the block.
You loved it!
Unfortunately Uncle Brad had to fly back to Philly tonight. We are so glad he was able to stay with us this week and celebrate Christmas with us!!!
After we dropped him off at the airport, you played with your new toys a little bit more before it was time for bed.
Even though it was your second Christmas, it kind of felt like your first since you were only 9 days old last year!!
Merry Christmas! We love you so much!

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve!
Your Daddy went on call this morning, so he had to go into the hospital for a little bit. But thankfully he was finished by lunch and we spent the rest of the day together!
This morning you discovered the presents under the tree and decided to go ahead and open mine and your Daddy's gift from Aunt Mel! You're an expert gift unwrapper now!
We also made some Christmas cookies together today!
We cut them out in different Christmas shapes: candy cane, star, snowman, gingerbread man, Christmas tree, holly leaf, ornament, and Santa hat.
And I made some royal icing to frost them!
In keeping with our Chinese food on Christmas Eve tradition we had with the Linns in Winston, I made sweet and sour chicken and fried rice for dinner!
We read [some of] 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and we left out cookies and milk for Santa.
We kind of waited too close to bedtime to read, thus the unhappy face.
You've been such a good girl this year and I can't wait to see what Santa will bring you!
