Happy Easter!

Yesterday Sadie, Brad, Rah Rah, and I went to Alexian Village for an Easter egg hunt.
I didn't realize that my camera was on manual focus until the egg hunt was almost over. Oh well!
Sadie had a great time!
Today we celebrated our Risen Savior with our families on Signal Mountain!
Sadie found her Easter basket on the front porch of Nana's house and she went through it while everyone was getting ready for church.
She got buttons for her rainbow Crocs, a hairbrush, Doc McStuffins toothpaste, 2 new books, a football, color drops for the bathtub, and a few little snacks.
We went to church with Nana, Pops, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Beth, and the Akers family at Calvary Baptist Church.
Sadie wore the Easter dress that I wore when I was about a year and a half old!
In case you can't tell due to the photo quality- I'm on the left and Sadie is on the right.
After church we went to Rah Rah and Papa Dave's house. Sadie thankfully took a great nap before lunch; I knew that would help the rest of the day go more smoothly.
After lunch we went to Nanny's house for an Easter egg hunt.
I think Sadie's pretty much a pro Easter egg hunter now!
 It was a great day!

Happy (almost) 2016!

Today was a fun last day on Signal Mountain! We played at Rah Rah's house and Nana's house.
I can't believe tomorrow is a new year! It will be a year with lots of changes and decisions.
We can't wait!

Day after Christmas celebrations

Last night we spent the night at Nana and Pops' house. We were able to celebrate Christmas with them, Aunt Brittany, and Aunt Beth this morning.
You passed out the presents again (but got tired after only a couple and ended up pushing the gifts around in a baby doll carriage). You got a lot of wonderful things: a broom, vacuum cleaner, new doll with some accessories, a baby doll high chair, a magnetic fishing game, a Sophia Grace and Rosie book, a new outfit (thus the shirt change half way through the morning), and a blow up Frozen ball tent!
Mommy and Daddy got some great gifts too!
Uncle Brad had to leave this afternoon to go to Nashville. He's flying out to California tomorrow to work a New Year's Eve show. While you took your nap, Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Brad, Rah Rah, and Papa Dave played your Daddy's new national park Yahtzee game.
You probably think that you'll be opening gifts every day after all the festivities of the past few days (and weeks, really, with your birthday a couple of weeks ago)!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I can't believe this is your 3rd Christmas!
We were all up by 7 AM and we opened our stockings and your gifts from Santa Claus!
You loved that Santa ate most of the [6 giant] cookies you left out last night!
Santa brought you a Little People Princess castle, a coffee maker for your kitchen, and a lot of goodies in your stocking!

Mommy got a special stocking stuffer: chocolates and tickets to The Lion King at DPAC in March!
After opening our stockings, you helped get breakfast together.
And apparently you couldn't wait for the cinnamon rolls!
Uncle Brad and Uncle Lee went back to bed and you played and did stickers while the rest of us got ready.
This is the Christmas dress that Rah Rah smocked and I wore when I was 18 months old! I absolutely love that you can wear it!
Aunt Mel came over to open presents with us before lunch! You did great distributing the gifts to everyone! I told you who the gifts were for and you took them straight to that person.
You got a lot of great gifts: a Cookie Monster, Mickey Mouse pizza and cake set, Mickey Mouse cookies, a magnet board with teddy bear, princess, and animal magnets.
You also loved helping everyone open their gifts.
Cousin Jenna came up from Atlanta to spend Christmas with us! Unfortunately the weather was terrible today- warm, but it rained so much that the ways up and down the mountain were shut down at different times! But we're glad Jenna was able to come up (even though it took her twice as long as usual to get home).
Christmas lunch was great- beef tenderloin, green beans, hash brown casserole, cranberry sauce, rolls, and more. It was all delicious!
Aunt Mel's friend John stopped by for a little while too.
When you woke up from your nap, you got a special Christmas cookie snack.
We braved the torrential downpour to head to Nanny and Papaw's house tonight.
Most of the family wasn't able to make it due to the weather, but those who were there had a great time! We ate Nanny's delicious traditional Christmas meal, opened gifts (youngest to oldest), and played Minute to Win it games. You got a Belle princess dress, Elsa doll, and crawling Minnie Mouse.
Aunt June took all the pictures from tonight on her camera, so hopefully I can get some from her soon!
Merry Christmas, Sadie!
