18 month appointment

This morning you had your 18 month appointment with Dr. Cooley.
Weight: 21 lbs., 7 oz. (32%)
Length: 32 in. (53%)
Head circumference: 18.9 in. (89%)

Dr. Cooley was very pleased with your growth and development. You got 2 shots and some fluoride on your teeth. This was the last appointment where you will be weighed naked and the final round of "baby shots." A baby no more! And now we don't go back until you're two years old! (Except to get your flu shot this fall.)

Fathers' Day in Asheville, NC

Today we celebrated Fathers' Day at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC!
It was so fun to have Rah Rah, Papa Dave, Uncle Lee, Nana, Pops, and Aunt Beth with us!
Our tickets were for 10 AM, so we had a little while to explore some of the gardens before we could go inside the house.
You rode great in your stroller through most of the house. There came a point where strollers weren't allowed, so we just carried you.
There was a balcony open on the back of the house that your Daddy and I had never been on before in our 2 previous visits.
After the house tour, we ate lunch at the Stable Cafe.
We decided to go back to the Conservatory to see what was growing in there. You fell asleep on the walk down there.
The orchid room was my favorite area.
Daddy, Papa Dave, and Pops went to go get the cars and you woke up and had a little snack. Poor thing you were so sweaty after your nap; it was a hot day!
We had such a fun weekend with everyone!
Happy Fathers' Day, Brad!
Sadie and I love you!

week 2 on Signal Mountain

The rest of our visit on Signal Mountain was very fun!
Saturday evening we went to a meet 'n' greet party for baby Ramsey and I couldn't wait to get my hands on him since last time we saw him I didn't get to hold him!
He is so squeezable! (you thought so too)
Sunday you spent all morning at church with Rah Rah! She said you had a blast playing with the other children in the nursery!
You found these jiggly turtles that Uncle Lee had bought at a yard sale a long time ago and you thought they were great!
You loved playing with your glittery pom-poms! Showing Papa Dave how you can use your spoon to scoop them into the jar.
This week you got used to Teddy! You called him "Ned." You especially loved walking him!
You and I got to visit again with baby Ramsey, Miss Jennifer, and Mr. Tim on Monday afternoon for a couple of hours! Such a fun time to spend with friends who we don't get to see enough! (unfortunately no pictures)
Monday evening Rah Rah went to Manchester, TN to pick up Uncle Brad! He was working Bonnaroo (a big music festival) and wanted to come home for his birthday!
Tuesday we hung out at Rah Rah and Papa Dave's house. You played in the water table and did some exercises with Uncle Lee!
Tuesday was Uncle Brad's 24th birthday, so we went out to dinner at a BBQ place on the mountain.
Oh and his girlfriend Farina flew in late Monday night/early Tuesday morning! She is so nice! You quickly took to her!
Wednesday we ran some errands with Rah Rah and played at her house while Uncle Brad and Farina had to do some work.
But we went to the lake to have dinner with Aunt Mel and Scott!
Thursday Uncle Brad and Farina's flight wasn't until the evening, so we hung out at Rah Rah's house and ran some errands while they worked again.
We had one of Uncle Brad's favorite meals for dinner (meatloaf and hashbrown casserole)
I wish we got to see him more!
Yesterday you were so worn out from all the activity over the past 2 weeks, you took 2 naps!
Last night we went to eat dinner and play at Pops' and Nana's house!
We took a walk out to the barn to check on the horses (Nanny and Papaw are on a road trip out west and cruise to Alaska!).
Aunt Beth was walking Lady Bear when we got there and you immediately wanted to walk her too!
You were much more comfortable around the horses than you have been before.
This morning we headed to Asheville, NC to meet up with Daddy! Nana, Pops, and Aunt Beth also came up too!
We got caught in a couple of traffic jams on the interstate, but you did great the whole trip!
And boy were we glad to be reunited with your Daddy!!!
