playdate in Winston-Salem

Today Miss Carolyn and Clifton went with you and me to Winston for a playdate!

We met Miss Chris and Natalee at Miss Allison and Carter's house!

We all had so much fun, playing and catching up!

Next time we see Carter, he'll be a big brother!

painting time

This morning after story time at the library, Miss Carolyn and Clifton came over to work on an art project. You and Clifton seemed to want to get in on the action, so we put some painting paper on your picnic table and let y'all go to town! Clifton was a pro (he's painted before), but you were unsure about it. I'm sure once we paint a few more times, you'll get the hang of it.

Memorial Day fun

This afternoon we went over to the Jackson's house for water play and a cook out!

Kathryn and her parents came too.

You kids had so much fun playing in the water table, sprinkler, and pool!

And you LOVED the watermelon slices Miss Carolyn had for a snack!

I forgot to put a swim diaper on you before you started playing and didn't think it was a big deal.

But you decided that playing in the pool was really fun and spent at least 20 minutes sitting in it.

I never knew how much a regular diaper held; the answer is a lot!

It was a fun evening with good friends!

hot air balloon festival

This evening we went to a hot air balloon festival in Raleigh! It was so neat to see the balloons being blown up! None of us had ever seen hot air balloons in real life before. 

We got there right when they started blowing the balloons up. We stopped to watch one and turns out, we picked the biggest one; it took forever to blow up, but we were committed! It had a Snoopy dog on one side and a cat on the other, like they were "driving" the balloon. 

 You loved walking around the balloons and even did some dancing!

 And you liked touching the balloons while they were being blown up!

 We were going to stay for the "glow" at dusk, but it was just getting too late. 

Maybe next year!

 We still had a lot of fun! 

seventeen months old

Each month your daddy and I just can't believe how much you have learned and grown! You certainly have us wrapped around your little finger and we love you so much!

We spent 2 weeks of the past month in Tennessee and it seems like (according to the pictures) we have spent the rest of the month outside! You love playing with your basketball hoop, sliding down your slide, going on walks, and playing at the playground with your friends! Miss Allison and Carter came to visit on April 23. You, Clifton, and Carter had so much fun playing! We had playgroup at Miss Amber's house yesterday. 

What a happy, smiley, thoughtful, curious, almost fearless little girl you are!
