two months old

We can't believe how much you have changed just in the past month! 

We love you so much!

At two months old:
                   - your hair that fell out from the top front of your head is growing back in
                   - you only had newborn acne for a couple of weeks and you have your beautiful
                     complexion back
                   - you've been sleeping 8 hours between your evening feeding and only overnight
                     feeding for the past week! You go girl!
                   - you're still sleeping in the Rock n Play in our room at night, but this week we plan on
                     transitioning you to your crib (before I go back to work)
                   - you took your first nap in your crib today! 30 minutes
                   - you have such a sweet smile that we are seeing more and more every day!
                   - for the most part, you like tummy- time and your head and body control is excellent!
                   - I love dressing you up! Most everyday I put an actual outfit on you rather than just a
                     sleeper (I might stay in my pjs, but that's another story)
                   - you have started "talking" and your little coos are just the best!
                   - you definitely love hanging out on your changing table- talking, getting your diaper
                     changed, being able to just kick around. I get some of your best smiles when you're
                     up there!
                   - you seem to enjoy bath time too! You just sit in your whale tub and look around
                     contentedly

You have your 2 month doctor's appointment and shots tomorrow! Glad your Daddy will be post-call and can go with us! Can't wait to see how much you weigh now!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy first Valentine's Day, sweet girl! We love you so much!

 And it's totally okay to have 3 Valentine's Day outfits! (plus a bib and cute sleeper with 

a heart on the bottom!)

 Your Daddy is working nights tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday night, 

so we're having girls' nights!

Alfred the snowman

It snowed until about 3:00 this afternoon, so you and I just hung out inside until Daddy got home!

The snow was wet enough that your Daddy was able to build a snowman!

He named him Alfred.

It started snowing earlier this afternoon and hasn't stopped!

You watched it snow for a few minutes with your Daddy and then we decided to go ahead and take you outside!

 You were bundled up in your snowsuit, but since it was still actively snowing, you didn't like the snow blowing in your face! But you didn't cry!

 I bet it will be a winter wonderland tomorrow!

8 weeks

You went eight hours between your last feeding last night and this morning! WHOA!

Gail Cohen (one of your Dad's attendings) and her girls, Hannah (left) and Lauren (right) came to meet you today! For the past 2.5 years, I've been babysitting Hannah and Lauren during the summers and some after-school pickups during the school year. 

 You and I were tired girls tonight!

lazy Saturday

You had a blow out in your sleeper this morning, so I put a cute outfit on you. And then you had a blowout in that outfit too! 

You and your Daddy have been working on bottle feeding this week- Monday, Wednesday, yesterday, and today. You are doing very well! Taking a little less than 3 ounces, but it seems to fill you up!

Today was such an active day! 

We read your first books! Some this morning and different ones this afternoon!

I think you'll love reading as much as I do :)

We also sang songs, played on the playmate, and did tummy time!

You were worn out!

 You hung out in just the bouncer/ vibrating part of your swing today- while I was in the shower and during dinner. I thought you looked like you were doing the Thriller dance with your hands while you were sleeping! I love that you can fall sleep with your hands in the air!

And I promise we put different pajamas on for you tonight!

Several of your little sleepers have bugs on them which is perfect for your nickname!

This is one of your new 3 month sleepers that you have never worn before!

playdate at Carter's house

Rah Rah had to leave today :(

She brought us home on Saturday and we've loved having her here!

You and I had a lunch playdate with Miss Allison and Carter and Miss Carolyn and Clifton!

You were great and showed the boys how much you love tummy time! You must have been relaxed during tummy time because when I went to change your diaper, you had pooped up and out the front of it! Had to take your onesie off and just take you home in your t-shirt and pants! (I should probably start adding an extra onesie to the diaper bag)

 But that's how we ended up doing some skin to skin while you nursed when we got home!
