twenty-four months old

This past month has been SO BUSY! We've had lots of fun kicking off this holiday season and getting ready for you to turn 2!
We decorated for Christmas on Nov. 22. You loved helping hang the ornaments on the tree.
On Dec. 3 we met the Jacksons and Bryson and his parents (Kathryn and her parents weren't able to make it because Kathryn's baby cousin was born that day) at Pullen Park for the Christmas train and festivities. Our tickets for the train weren't until 8:30, but you three kids did great!
There were fun activities while we waited for our train time: coloring, games, ornament decorating, and you loved making reindeer food (scoops of dried oatmeal and sprinkles)! We also rode the carousel while we were there. The line for Santa was way too long, so we didn't get to see him.
On Dec. 4 we had another playgroup activity: gingerbread house making at Clifton's house!
I'd say there was just as much decoration eating as there was actual decorating!
Bryson, Kathryn, Brookyn, you, William, and Clifton
(the gangs all here!)
On Dec. 5 we stopped by our new friends' house to see Santa. Annie and Brad Brown (and Mara Kate) are new friends who we met because Miss Annie took our fall family pictures! We have also been trying out their church small group.
You were pretty unsure of Santa, but I got you to sit in my lap and talk to him for a few minutes.
On Dec. 9 Miss Allison, Carter, and Baby Natalie came for a visit!
We did a little Christmas handprint project (that the boys loved; you were more interested in playing with Natalie)
The best group shot I could get
On Dec. 10 you and I took a road trip to Knoxville to surprise Aunt Samantha at her graduation dinner party! But first we stopped by to see Baby Ramsey and Jennifer! Caroline stopped by too!
You did great at the dinner! We stayed up way past your bedtime because Samantha's parents invited us to stay with them and Samantha at their condo in Pigeon Forge!
You had fun playing with Jack and Miller and seeing Baby Grace
It was a quick trip because the next day, after eating brunch at IHOP with Samantha and her parents, we headed back home.
It was a successful Mommy and Sadie road trip!
On Dec. 12 we met the Jacksons downtown for dinner and to see the Christmas tree display.
Each tree was uniquely decorated by a different group or company
You and Clifton loved all the lights! Especially this tree made up of donated bicycles!
I took a few pictures of you last night as your last night as a one- year- old!
