Christmas Eve Eve

Today you and I spent the day hanging out with Uncle Brad when he took breaks from working!
This afternoon your Daddy, you, and I went to Christmas at DPAC put on by The Summit Church. We were kind of running later than I had hoped because I forgot to print the [free] tickets before we were literally walking out the door. But it worked out perfectly because we were able to find 2 seats (Uncle Brad had to work) on the end, in case we needed to duck out with you, and it started probably 3 minutes after we sat down! You did great during the service and you loved the music! It was a great service to remind us that Baby Jesus came to die on the cross for our sins. And that is the true meaning of Christmas.

more pictures from party weekend

We had such a fun, unexpected week with Rah Rah last week! I still can't believe she surprised us by coming on your birthday!
She might have surprised us, but I had a surprise for her: I went to the airport on Friday morning to pick up Uncle Brad! Rah Rah didn't know he was coming for your birthday party! A fun surprise for her!
Papa Dave and Uncle Lee's airplane arrived a little after lunch and Nana, Pops, Aunt Brittany, and Aunt Beth arrived later Friday afternoon! We had fun Friday night!
Rah Rah, Aunt Brittany, and Aunt Beth helped me frost the cupcakes and cake for your party!
Rah Rah and I had bought some pretty potent red food coloring at Michaels this week and being funny, Rah Rah smeared it on her lips and it stained them bright red! Thankfully it went away over night!
Nana, Pops, Aunt Brittany and Aunt Beth had to leave yesterday morning :(
We spent yesterday hanging out with Rah Rah, Papa Dave, Uncle Brad, Uncle Lee, Aunt Mel, and Scott! Aunt Mel and Scott left yesterday afternoon and we went out to eat and played games with the rest of the family.
Rah Rah, Papa Dave, and Uncle Lee had to leave this morning :(
But Uncle Brad is staying with us through Christmas Day!
It was so fun to have everyone here this weekend!

Ladybug 1st Birthday Party

Yesterday all our family came in town to get ready to celebrate your birthday today!
We had a busy day getting everything ready, but at 4 PM, we were ready to PARTY!
We opened presents, ate chicken n dumplings and taco soup, and enjoyed ladybug cupcakes (or in your case, a ladybug cake) and SM Cookie Lady ladybug and "1" cookies!
Everything looked great and I couldn't have done it without everyone's help!
I thought this "family tree" idea was fun! I collected pictures of your grandparents, aunts, uncles, Daddy, and me at (or close to) age 1. It was neat to see who you look like at this age!
I also made a ladybug 12 month picture banner! It turned out great!
Miss Carolyn helped me a ton by cutting out all the shapes for this banner, the family tree, and the "Happy Birthday Sadie" banner! She is such a wonderful friend!
Party time!
You received so many wonderful presents!

A neat gift from Rah Rah and Papa Dave was some of the play food (cupcakes, ice cream, and cookies) I played with when I was a little girl!
You and Clifton had fun playing with some of your new things!
After you enjoyed a bowl of taco soup, it was time for cake!
Clifton enjoyed his ladybug cupcake too!
handprint!
Your Daddy went home and grabbed a towel and whisked you off to the bath!
But your skin where you rubbed the frosting was stained red: your face, hands, arms, legs, and belly!
It was so fun to have Rah Rah, Papa Dave, Nana, Pops, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Beth, Uncle Brad, Uncle Lee, Aunt Mel and her boyfriend Scott, and the Jacksons here to celebrate one year of you!!
