How big is baby? the size of a mango

Weight gain? +4 pounds so far  

Maternity clothes? Wore my belly band a couple of days this week. Feeling like I need to get another set of scrubs though!

Sleep? Still sleeping well

Food cravings/aversions? Nothing in particular this week!

Miss anything? Not this week!

Baby's sex? Sweet baby girl!

Best moment this week? I feel like she's definitely "popped out" more this week!

Looking forward to? My 20 week (wow!!) appointment is Thursday afternoon! Can't wait to hear that sweet heartbeat!

Weight gain? +4 pounds total  

Maternity clothes? None yet, but Carolyn reminded me that I have one of those belly band things, so I'm probably going to try that soon so that I can wear my shorts for a little longer!

Sleep? Still sleeping well

Food cravings/aversions? Mom, Dad, Brad, and I went to the Farmers' Market yesterday and all the fresh fruits and veggies looked delicious! The blackberries made for a delicious pie yesterday and sorbet today!

Miss anything? Not this week!

Baby's sex? Sweet baby girl!

Best moment this week? Seeing our baby girl for 30 minutes at our anatomy scan! And seeing that everything looks great!

Looking forward to? Having more of a "baby bump"!

This morning we had our anatomy scan (at 17 weeks, 4 days)!!! It was so great to see our little girl wiggling and moving around in there!

Our appointment was at 9AM and we got called back right away! We spent the next 30 minutes watching our baby while the tech took her measurements and explained what we were seeing! We saw her stomach, kidneys, bladder, all 4 chambers of the heart, the ventricles of her brain, and her little girl parts! Everything looked perfect and she weighed approximately 7 ounces! Praise the Lord! And the tech printed off a ton of pictures for us to keep!

We have a short list of names and I think we've settled on one that we both like, but actually committing to "the name" is kind of a big deal! Our friends have been calling her "Tiger Lily." That has been Brad's baby girl name for as long as I've known him. It is definitely not on the table, but it's fun to call her something!

Carolyn and Kyle have their anatomy scan this afternoon at 2 to find out what they'll be having in November! Can't wait to hear about the sex (and healthiness) of Baby Jackson!

This has been such a wonderful journey and Brad and I are looking forward to enjoying the rest of this pregnancy! December 21 will be here before we know it!

Weight gain? +4 pounds total  

Maternity clothes? Again, skirts and dresses are my friends! And I have one pair of non-maternity shorts that I have had for a couple of year that had an elastic waist band that I am loving!

Sleep? Still sleeping well

Food cravings/aversions? Any fruit sounds delicious (specifically grapes and watermelon!)

Miss anything? We went to Childress winery today and I couldn't participate in the wine tasting (which I really didn't miss), but it makes for a funny story because the bartender that served Brad and Greg said, "Oh just wait until month 8 and then you can drink because the baby's body and brain are basically developed by then." Wow, thank you, bartender, for your medical advice.  

Baby's sex? Sweet (nameless) baby girl!

Best moment this week? Having my birthday today and realizing next year on my birthday, I'll have a 6 month old!

Looking forward to? Our anatomy scan is Wednesday! Can't wait to see our baby girl!

Weight gain? +4 pounds total, at my appointment on Wednesday

Maternity clothes?  No official maternity clothes, but summer is perfect timing for this kind of "in between bloat/early bump" time: skirts and dresses all the way!

Sleep? Still sleeping well

Food cravings/aversions? Nothing specific this week

Miss anything? Nothing I can think of

Baby's sex? Sweet baby girl! Narrowing down name choices

Best moment this week? Telling my co-workers (word spread like wildfire between my Tuesday and Thursday shifts!) and more friends here in Winston!

Looking forward to? My birthday is next Saturday and just generally looking forward to telling more friends!! Especially our Bible Fellowship class!
