Me (to Eloise, after she had just nursed): Are you happy now?
Sadie: No.

June photos
Sadie has been loving pool time this month!
Rah Rah left on June 1 to go back home to Tennessee. We're so thankful she was able to stay as long as she did!
Our friends the Gwennaps opened their second Rise Biscuits and Doughnuts franchise in Brier Creek.
We weren't able to make it to their "friends and family" event because Brad had a work meeting, even though he was on paternity leave (3 weeks, woo hoo). But we went the day before their grand opening for "free doughnut day" and we made it back over there on opening day!
Sadie gives it two thumbs up!

On the 7th, we had the Jacksons over to swim. Unfortunately that night after dinner, Sadie got sick to her stomach (thankfully she had not eaten any dinner). She didn't get sick at all over night, but threw up again the next morning (probably because Brad let her drink too much water too fast). But later that day (Wednesday), we realized that she was developing a rash on her hands and feet. Hand, foot, and mouth disease is no fun! Sadie spent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mostly watching movies all day long. She woke up on Saturday feeling a lot better and Sunday she was feeling even better. I'm so glad Brad was already home on paternity leave. He was able to attend to Sadie's needs, while Eloise was with me. We had to keep them apart since HFM is so contagious. Thankfully none of the rest of us caught it.
On the 12th, we had a going away pool/pizza party for the Jacksons at the Woodcroft pool.
Brad went back to work on the 13th and the girls and I made our first Walmart run together.
We certainly missed having Brad home, but we had a good day!
On June 16th, Allison, Carter, and Natalie visited from Winston!
The Jacksons came over to play too.
On the 17th, we had some friends from playgroup over to play in the backyard. I set up the little blow-up pool, water table, and Carolyn brought their beach ball sprinkler. Clifton, Kathryn, and Bryson came.
On the 18th, we went to Bass Pro Shop for a free catch and release fishing demo.
Clifton and Kyle caught a fish pretty quickly, but Brad and Sadie weren't as lucky.
June 19th was Fathers' Day. We went with the Jacksons that morning to the Duke Lemur Center.
It is the largest sanctuary for prosimian primates in the world. Lemurs are only found in the wild in Madagascar. It was neat to go, but the kids got bored quickly.
Rah Rah and Papa Dave came for a visit the 21st-25th. We went to the Life and Science Museum, Marbles Museum, and played at the mall.
We had the Jacksons over for one last cookout on the 24th.
